Mia is well aware she's in danger, and after playing out a whole 'penalty' spiel in her head (and keeping her hands up defensively) she's going to take a moment to convince herself claiming she coughed was a bad idea. Instead she looks the ranger in the eye and declares earnestly that she's sorry, she hardly understands anything either- but she's here to protect her sister. Not to hurt anyone in Lyrabar, and certainly not to help pirates- but to follow her sister no matter wherever she's called to go.
