[Kaede sleeps through most of the night, only waking every now and then to shift herself into a more comfortable position, curling in closer against him. It's not as comfortable as sleeping in her bed back on the base, but just as warm and almost as secure. The few times she wakes up in hazy confusion, she can hear the sound of his heartbeat and feel the rise and fall of his chest lulling her back to sleep.

When she does finally wake up fully, groaning softly from a stiff neck, it's not long after sunrise.]
