[Ridiculous weapons are kind of cool. They've always been cool. He's just sad that he didn't see Kaede with some sort of piano whip that made magical music notes upon cracking. That's another question for another time when he's not poised to... you know, murder the image of his own mother.]
Yeah, I.... I mean, just ew. This monster's got some real issues, man!
[He doesn't want to deal with a round two of Mrs. Sakamoto, either, so when Kaede tells him to step aside while she creates the protection flank that he needs, he damn well does that and starts focusing.
Ryuji's never been much for a spell caster, but through his persona, he always felt the ability to channel lightning aspected magic. This is... well, it's definitely not the same, but the concept of calling forth external energy to manipulate isn't.
Static electricity begins amassing in the skybox of whatever simulation this is, but that doesn't last nearly long as his concentration is cut off for a second by the monster in front of him... starting to cry!?
What the hell is this?
He swears he can hear it calling his name too.]
I'm so sorry, mom.
[Clenching his bat, he strikes down the ground in front of him, short of hitting Kaede. From the connecting point against the floor, a lightning bolt zips through the sky at an unfathomable speed, directly heading toward the point of impact- a line between the monster and the shield that Kaede's mustering.
Hopefully the Shield of Faith can weather the storm he's made.
And hopefully that shadow monster, who is also his mom's visage, is deep fried.]
