Their time in Menagerie, along with who and what they were, meant that Sun would always get her in a way that her other friends couldn't, no matter how hard they tried. It made their bond singular.

She sighs, resisting the urge to laugh at his verbal fumble.]

[Even if the body isn't her own. That's still weird, but if Sun had triumphed, then so would she.

She clears her throat, looking up towards the speaker as though it has a gaze she can meet while giving her answer. It doesn't, but it feels right.]

I value my friends more than anything. No matter how hard they try to push me away, I'll never abandon them, because our friends— they're the family we choose for ourselves. Even if they forget themselves, I'll be there to help them find their way again, because I believe we're stronger together.
