[It's probably only been a few seconds, but it has felt like an eternity to Gundam under the water. He doesn't want to die, not in this meaningless way endangering Minato and Kaede -- not like this. Would anyone even be able to recover him? Would his bones lie at the bottom of this lake, serving as his eternal tomb? Ribo-N wouldn't have the means to exist anymore without him either.
His limbs feel so heavy and his chest is ready to burst for just some semblance of air, but Gundam musters up everything he has left in him to kick for the surface of the water just one more time. To gasp for one more breath.
It's not enough though.
Gundam's bandaged fingertips barely break the surface of the lake, before he's sinking this time for good. It hurts. It hurts and he's tired. And he's sinking so far now... it's just getting darker.
