It's enforcer is a barely ursine monstrosity who preys upon fragility and drives poor pitiful souls to unforgivable acts. Eventually I believe it became clear that similar motivations would fail to resonate with those remaining and thus a more drastic measure was levied.

We were lured within the confines of an inescapable fun house with no food nor water. Only once a murder was committed would we be permitted sustenance and only when the blackened was caught would we be released. For three days we endured this... yet no one wished to act. No one wished to take the life of a classmate even if it meant that all would soon perish.

It became an untenable situation.
