It's so weird suddenly wanting attention and affection like this-- especially from someone Bakugo hated nearly his entire life. Though perhaps that's why it has him feeling so calm in the first place.. Deku is someone he's had so much resentment and negative feelings for built up on top of one another for so long, and ever since they had that fight and started to come to an understanding with each other he's been trying to unlearn all of that slowly but surely.
So maybe it just feels nice to be close to Deku like this, for the first time since the two of them were four years old.
Or maybe there's no actual reason for this and he's just trying to think of a valid reasoning for why he's suddenly okay with physical contact in the first place.
Either way, he's not getting off though he does loosen his grip a little bit, when he feels Deku struggling to breathe underneath him. He doesn't want to kill him just... y'know. Hug him until he feels like puking instead.]
