[There's a moment where Wash wonders why on Earth Roxas would throw his primary weapon. The subsequent moment is when he remembers that Roxas' primary weapon is a giant key. He stops questioning it after that.]

Right. Let's talk arm's length first.

[He takes the spear and spins it casually over one wrist, testing the weight and balance, before gripping it in both hands, one about a third of the way down the spear's shaft and one about two thirds down.]

It's two-handed and longer than your usual sword, so you need to think about it differently. Most of your damage is going to come from jabs and thrusts, but you can also swing if you want to clock your opponent instead of cutting them. [He demonstrates on a dummy, jabbing it twice in the chest before taking a half-step in and swinging the blunt end up to collide with the enemy's head.] You'll have a reach advantage, but it'll also be easier for people with shorter weapons to get under your guard, so you'll need to watch out for that.
