Yes. He was able to persevere, look towards the future and push everyone forward towards a positive goal. He uncovered the mastermind of our game, and then saved us all.

But, in a way, he was the cause of our game being a thing in the first place.

But then... we went in knowing what was going to happen anyway....

That's the thing about them, what you discover as the truth can be rather far from what you thought it would be. Memories are changed and the truth obscured.
