He wasn't planning on going-- in fact, he was planning on staying in his dorm and going to bed but then he happened to run into that damn Big Mouth (Ryuji) who ended up dragging him along... despite his kicking and screaming and very loud death threats.
So somehow he's wound up here, dressed in the school uniform because he hadn't had a chance to change out of it first not that he really had anything else formal to wear, anyway. But if you expected Bakugo to go out and talk to people you are. So. So sadly mistaken. He stands near the wall next to the door for most of the dance, looking like he's ready to book it if anyone comes near him but a little way into the party something catches his eye. Something.. in the distance... something he'd been fucking looking for since he got here two weeks ago.
A drum.
It's a taiko drum, so not exactly what he's used to but if he's going to learn how to use his stupid music skills that can knock people out in seconds, then he'll need to get used to playing drums more often. So quietly... quietly he sneaks around the people, weaving between them without caring if they try to get his attention or not until he reaches one of the drums. The song playing right now luckily is a dance song with a nice beat, and Bakugo has no concept of stage fright so after a few seconds of listening to get a good feel for it, he picks up the drum sticks and starts drumming along.
He's.. really good.... he didn't take drum lessons as a kid and play in a band for nothing, though he does throw in a lot of weird improvisations as he feels like it that might throw some dancing people off. He doesn't care, though. Because as good as it is for practicing it's also, admittedly, stress relieving as hell.
Oh, and he's got Bardic Inspiration. So you might feel particularly excited listening to him drum along with the beat.]

[Well. The party ended on a rather... awkward note. Yeah, awkward is a good term for it. The lights going out, someone coming in and saying something about someone being "had". It has Bakugo immediately on guard, already familiar with situations familiar to this one and as they're all instructed to go back to their apartments.. he couldn't sleep that night. Not very well, anyway.
He woke up rather late the next day, to the sound of a message being given to him on his bracer and when he reads it over, a grin spreads across his face. Finally, some fucking action! And it's in a desert.. though, he doesn't have his Quirk anymore, he's momentarily forgotten about it in his excitement about being in terrain advantageous to him. He doesn't bother with getting anything tailored for him, as he already has his Hero Costume designed to keep heat in. Anything that would keep it out would just hinder him, since his Quirk is so based around his sweat and he leaves his apartment that day feeling excited and ready to kick ass. Two weeks. He has two weeks to get his new weapon from Qrow, and to learn how to properly fight with it.
All day, Bakugo can be found at the Dojo, swinging around a Bo-staff. Whether Qrow is there to instruct him or not, he swings at a robot set on easy and knocks it's head clean off with his precision. He's been training for a few days already with the staff, so he's got a good grasp on how to use it being someone with years of combat expertise under his belt. There's also the fact that he's just. Naturally good at everything handed to him after being given some time to practice, though he doesn't dare try any levels higher than this just yet.
However, the moment he sees someone enter the room he turns his attention to them immediately, pointing his staff in their direction as he speaks.]
