[ Which is in response to all Jack's said. The real kicker is he thinks if he'd gone along with Antonio's assassination the way Moira and Genji did, maybe Gabriel would have opened up more. Maybe he would have confided in McCree, and maybe — just maybe — McCree could have drawn him back from the path he was heading down.

Most likely not, but that's the thing about looking back at the past: you always wonder if one little thing you did caused something, or one change could have changed things for the better. Jack knew Gabriel better, but McCree feels like he has to shoulder some of the regret too. Ana wasn't his mother; Gabriel wasn't his father. And yet? Overwatch had been his family. Ashe always talked about the gang being a family, but they sure didn't risk their necks for him. Not the way Overwatch had. ]


So... three people I thought were dead, and none of you are. Or were. Still don't know if there's an Earth left, but you sure know how to drop bad news on someone.
