[Mikan did a good job. As she did her part, Akechi did his, using his fiery sword to keep hold of its attention instead of on Mikan and casting Heat Riser on himself to move faster—still not nearly as fast as the creature itself but fast enough to dodge with some luck.
He watches them as much as he can but he has to leave it to her for the most part with his energy going to dodges. Loki, meanwhile, does respond to Mikan in a low, smooth voice, something like an older version of Akechi's: Hold on. Although he helps by placing a hand on her, she definitely has to hold onto some part of him as he dashes.
The creature is slowing rapidly but even with that, it's still a surprisingly tough opponent. Akechi gets scooped up by Loki as well but he hesitates while the creature sways, shaking its head to refocus.]
