grakraka: (nec vi nec clam nec precario)

[Feeling the weight of it makes him pause. He isn't sure exactly why but he can guess, which is kind of the point, isn't it? But not guess. He loathes guessing in the way most people use it, as throwing a dart into the darkness and hoping it lands. He needs to go over what he knows and try to present a proper theory of the scattered thoughts he has about him.

Or Will might hate him forever! Or not give him chances again! Or something like that! No pressure! Really, it's not. Just the exact amount of pressure he's used to putting on himself and it was only wrong maybe one out of every five times, honestly.

So he gives a nod to show he has accepted it before falling quiet to think and sort through the information.]

You aren't human. We've established that is where my theories lead. [He speaks, calm and soft, a little like thinking out loud still.] But that really says nothing at all. So, let's see.

[It seems like he should lay out his evidence as he goes to show his work. If nothing else, Will will understand his thought processes better.]

You're pragmatic, probably from previously needing to be, but you're pragmatic in every way, which suggests that needing to be emotionally pragmatic was just as important as materially. However, it seems that you've changed... somewhat recently. Recently enough that the habit of being pragmatic about people is still being undone, hence some of the slips. You care about it, though. You seem to care quite a lot about it, from how you treated me once you saw how I was... [Well.] ...messy. You were kind even before then, though.

[He segues there.] The slips tend to have a military feel, which is interesting. Military is all about hierarchy and you do have a certain... hierarchical way of thinking. [Yes, that's right.] You called yourself a Piece once. I thought about it later... I'm a fan of chess and I looked at it from that angle. You seem rather powerful and used to barking orders but even a high-ranking piece is still a piece at the end of the day. That seems to be the kind of thought process you have about yourself. Given the earlier evidence I mentioned, I wondered too if you didn't once see everything that way. Sort of... black and white thinking. [HAHA BECAUSE IT'S A CHESSBOARD— Only the narration knows how accurate that is sadly, not Akechi.] Black and white thinking makes it easy to do difficult jobs, when you dehumanize yourself and the people you fight against...

[From the look he gives, he knows 'dehumanize' is a funny word to use here but shush. Will knows what he means.]

Your relationship with Lion is interesting. I can't speak on it well. But seeing you two together... feels like an important part that I, admittedly, can't really fit in perfectly. But I think... if I had to put into words what it feels like... [What is a way of saying this? Hmm.] It seems to be two people... learning how to be people in different ways. Yours might be more literal, I suppose, but...

[Well. That is that on them. It says a lot, he thinks, even summed up in such a simple way. But like Will, he doesn't want to step on any hearts as he makes his deductions, so he just leaves it at that. It says enough.]

I think the way you make oaths, have faith, and have the inability to lie are all connected, which brings us back around to what sparked this entire conversation. [Phew.] My wings weren't what made you freak out. It was my aura. And according to the energy drink's slogan, it's something heavenly. [There's a pause as he frowns.] I admit, though, even with this conclusion, I wonder if that is truly it. But then, I have seen angels in the depths of the human subconscious. They're... impartial. Detached. They serve a purpose that humans cannot comprehend... and I believe, likewise, they would have trouble comprehending humanity in return.

[Ah. He rambled a little there at the end, whoops. Akechi clears his throat, tucking back a lock of hair behind his ear.]

So... that is what I think. You are a being of the heavenly host. I don't know if that is accurate. But it is what I have compiled.
