[He realizes there is popcorning going on here. He knows he deserves it. Qrow raises his head up, but only just.]
She's good, Will.
[He means it not as a moral assessment but one of her skill. The Director figured out the one thing that could get to him, and she figured out how to offer it to him in a way he couldn't run away from. Then she did it while simultaneously being petty. She does have him leashed: because he wants, so much, to keep these kids safe, to train them for their next mission so that none of them die again, and he can't resist the resources for it that the Academy position has given him.
The fact that she's good, that's noteworthy intel to Qrow. It teaches them more about her.
But with a sigh, he draws himself back up, drinks more of his coffee (it's still mostly coffee), and scribbles a reasonable (?) lesson plan. Something he can throw out really fast.]
I already told her I'm not grading shit. It's pass/fail. No homework.
[He had to grade homework at Signal. He's never doing it again.]
