I CHANGED MY MIND here's my last roll.

Buoyed by this conversation, Phoenix is going to try something he would've never thought of on his own: talking to a god. He's not a cleric, but he is a Paladin. So maybe there's something there he can work with.

Christine is going to lead him to the abandoned shrine of Istus in town at around 2 PM, before Szass usually gets there. Since Phoenix heard... someone in the forest, and it's possible that who was talking to him wasn't a person in the forest, but a god.

So with Christine there for moral support, Phoenix is going to recite the poem Dave found, and try and... commune? With this deity of fates? His offering, instead of yarn, is a story from his personal life: about how his own fate was changed by a lawyer named Mia Fey, who saved his life, and set in stone the road to being the attorney he is today. It's not knitting, but he hope she appreciates it all the same.
