There's always room for improvement. He knows that being a noble carries the weight of doing what's best- not for him, but the people who will eventually look up to his rank for guidance.

Adriel doesn't know of a specific transmutation expert around the school, but there are professors here who teach it. His best guess is that Gromph would know the most about that subject- although his specialty is conjuration. And, as for the others- Rainer/Necromancy, Onerion/Evocation, and Casariel/Divination. Each are known for their advancements in these fields (although Gromph is known for, uh, all the wrong reasons to be honest).

Rainer? She became Regent about 4 years ago. Prior to that, she was the Headmaster of Boarbumps, which... hence, Adriel apologizes for referring to her as "Professor" earlier. He'll note that yes, the skeletons are her added touch. He doesn't care too much for necromancy himself, but it's more because he's not particularly good at it, rather than having moral qualms against it.

He does speak really highly of her, as well as his Aunt, Casariel. He's grateful for Rainer for helping his Aunt rise to a higher position than her previous post at Blackstaff Tower back in Waterdeep (also known to be a prestigious magus order and school). She's done a lot of things to improve Thay's image as a reclusive school and is actively trying to break the stigma that the Red Wizards of Thay are all evil, self-interested people. He's not... too much sure what she's all accomplished aside from what he can see, but he's happy to help answer any questions Ferran might have in specific.
